Your details, plainly.
What we collect when you join the Drum Match waitlist, why, who handles it for us, and how to have it removed. Short, because we collect very little.

Who we are
Polar Bear Audio makes Drum Match, a plugin for drum production. We are based in New York State, USA. Questions about anything on this page go to contact@polarbearaudio.com, and a person reads them.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist:
- Your email address. This is the only thing we ask for.
- Only if you choose to answer the questions that follow: your first name, what you do (for example mixing engineer or producer), which DAW you use, Mac or Windows, and whether you want to test early builds.
When you start filling in the form: a spam check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) loads. It looks at technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address, to tell people from bots. It does not load for visitors who only read the page, and it is not used to track you.
When you visit any page: the site is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and the details of each request to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, which site sent you, the kind of device and browser, the country, and how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not follow you to other sites, and shows us totals only, never individual visitors.
What we do not do: we set no cookies, show no ads and use no tracking pixels. The audio player plays files from our own server and records nothing. We never sell or rent your details, and never share them for advertising.
Why we collect it
- To email you when Drum Match is ready.
- If you asked to test early builds, to invite you to.
- To decide what to build next. The DAW and computer answers tell us which formats matter most, for example whether Pro Tools support should come before Windows.
- Your first name is used to address you in those emails, nothing else.
If you are in the EU or UK, the legal basis for the waitlist is your consent, which you give by joining and can take back at any time. Counting visits relies on our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, and the counts identify no one.
Who handles it for us
- Kit (kit.com) keeps the waitlist and will send our emails. Kit's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the spam check and counts visits. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Both are in the United States and handle your details only on our behalf. For visitors in the EU and UK, transfers to them rely on the safeguards those companies provide, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Inside Polar Bear Audio, only the two people who run it can see the list.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe with the link in any email we send, and you will not hear from us again.
- See, correct or delete what we hold about you, or take a copy of it, by emailing contact@polarbearaudio.com. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
- In the EU or UK you can also restrict or object to how we use your details, and complain to your data protection authority. In California you have similar rights, and the same email address works for them.
Children
The waitlist is not meant for anyone under 16. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we will delete the address.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If we ever want to use your details in a way this page does not describe, we will ask you first.
